INDIAN INSTITUTE OF MODERN MANAGEMENT (IIMM)
DISTANCE LEARNING DEPARTMENT (DLD)

FINAL SCHEDULE FOR IIMM’S PERSONAL CONTACT PROGRAMMES AND     TERM-END EXAMINATIONS JUNE - JULY 2006

(Students of 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and Jan 2006 Batches)

Dear Student,

1. Further to our letter No. IIMM/DLD/CP-EXAM/June 06 on the subject.

2. The following appendices are attached herewith:-
(a) Appendix “A” - Venue for PCP & Exams – June/ July 2006
(b) Appendix “B”- Final schedule of PCP & Term end exams (All 8 Centres)

3. CONDUCT OF PCP / EXAMINATIONS

As you all are aware that contact programmes (PCPs) are of immense value for the students to brush up their knowledge about the subject and to clarify doubts before examinations. Therefore, the PCPs & examinations for maximum subjects are being planned at only selected centres as per student’s option given at Appendix ‘B’. Examinations will also be held for all the subject’s after PCPs as per details at Appendix ‘B’. You will appreciate that for holding PCP & Examinations at any centre, we should have minimum strength of 30 students. It is NOT at all feasible from financial & also administrative point of view to conduct PCP/Exams, if student strength at any centre falls short of 30. Therefore, Institute is constrained from conducting PCP & Examinations at all the planned centres.

HOLDING OF PCPS & EXAMINATIONS AT SELECTED CENTRES

4. Students, belonging to other cities where Institute is not planning to hold PCP & Examinations in June / July 06, should try & avail this wonderful “opportunity” of appearing in maximum subjects at any other centre as mentioned in Appendix ‘B’. However, students, who can’t appear in maximum number of subjects now, can do so in Nov/Dec 06.

AIM OF CONTACT PROGRAMMES

5. Aim of Contact Programme is to provide a suitable opportunity and venue where all the students including those from the Armed Forces, and Para Military Forces who are on our roster to freely interact with management experts, learn management and can also clarify doubts where necessary. It may be mentioned here that the sole objective of the contact programme is to enhance the knowledge, skill and competence of the students. However, we are not making it compulsory, as we feel that, a few of the students, particularly those from the Armed Forces and from industry may be pre-occupied on other commitments. Yet, it may be noted that the contact programmes really help every one to grow, to experience and to expand the scope of doing well in the examination.

CONDUCT OF PCP / EXAMINATIONS

6. Personal contact programmes (CPs) are also of immense value for the students to brush up their knowledge about the subject and to clarify doubts before examinations. Therefore, the Contact Programmes for maximum subjects were planned at all the centres, However due to poor response from Students at “Chennai, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, & Pune, Contact Programmes are not being Conducted at these Centres, fees already Paid by Students of these Centres will be adjusted against fees for next PCP/Examination.

Fee per Subject

7. Registration fees for PCPs / Term end Examinations will be as under: -

(a) Personal Contact Progarmme - Rs. 200/-
(b) Term end Examinations - Rs. 100/-

SPOT ADMISSION FOR PCP & EXAMINATIONS

8. It has been decided to DISCONTINUE WITH SPOT REGISTRATION for PCP & Examinations. Hence Examination & PCP Forms will not be accepted at any of the examination centres. Your friends, who want to appear for the examination, but have yet to submit the Examination & PCP forms can do so till 25 May 2006.
